Introduction

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Cost Controller to work within our mining client based in Perth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling all aspects of project cost, from budget planning to cost analysis and forecasting. This is a 12 month + contract with possible extension.

About this role

As a Lead Cost Controller, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing and controlling project cost, from budget planning to cost analysis and forecasting.
  • Developing and implementing cost control procedures and policies.
  • Providing cost analysis and reporting to senior management.
  • Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure project cost is controlled and monitored effectively.
  • Working with SAP and CMS to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting.
  • Mentoring and training junior team members.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Over 10 years of project control experience, with a focus on cost control.
  • A degree in Cost Management or Quantity Surveying.
  • Experience working with SAP and CMS.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • The current right to work in Australia.
