Introduction

We are seeking a skilled Survey Support Engineer to join our team in Delft, Netherlands. This contract-based position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge offshore survey technology and operations.

Start date: ASAPDuration: 18 Months (Option to go permanent thereafter)
Location: Delft, Netherlands

What are you going to do 

  • Test equipment prior to shipment or mobilization.
  • Perform equipment calibrations and adhere to preventive-maintenance schedules.
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in equipment and data networks.
  • Maintain accurate equipment administration, reporting, and tracking records.
  • Interface survey sensors and systems with vessels, ROVs, and online/offline systems.
  • Liaise effectively with on-board Survey Engineers during operations.
  • Communicate technical issues with relevant supervisors and asset managers.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • MTS electronics degree (HNC level).
  • Knowledge of analogue electronics, interfacing techniques, and digital signal processing.
  • Offshore survey industry experience in pipeline or subsea construction projects.
  • Knowledge of ROVs, acoustic positioning, and general survey systems
  • Ability to identify, diagnose, and repair technical issues efficiently.
  • Skilled in testing complex survey sensors and systems for operational readiness.
  • Competence in liaising with engineers and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Proficiency in preparing work packages including technical documentation.
