Are you ready to take on a key role in global production sustainability? As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you will contribute to large-scale Capex investment projects within the food & beverage industry. From design to delivery, you are responsible for the electrical design of brewery equipment. Working with international, cross-functional teams, you directly support the journey toward Net Zero operations.

What are you going to do

As the electrical expert within our investment projects, you ensure that safety, quality, and innovation are embedded in every design. You provide input from the initial technical site surveys up to commissioning. Working closely with brewing, packaging, utilities, and civil engineering teams, your role is essential to delivering efficient and reliable energy infrastructures for our global sites.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Conducting technical site surveys and contributing to brewery masterplans;
  • Reviewing investment scopes and challenging proposals together with site and project managers;
  • Creating project plans and writing technical specifications for procurement;
  • Supervising suppliers, monitoring budgets and timelines, and ensuring quality deliverables;
  • Advising on energy distribution, electrical safety, and sustainable solutions across all projects.

You will also contribute to internal improvement programs on topics like standardization, innovation, quality assurance, and supplier relations.

You are a structured and proactive engineer who feels at home in complex, multidisciplinary environments. With strong communication skills and a hands-on mindset, you translate technical expertise into practical, future-ready solutions. Your drive for innovation and sustainability makes you a valuable asset in our energy transition.

You bring:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar;
  • 4+ years of experience with electrical design in Capex projects;
  • Strong knowledge of MV/LV distribution and backup systems (e.g. diesel gensets);
  • Solid understanding of international standards, safety regulations and compliance;
  • Familiarity with renewable systems like solar, wind, electrification, and storage;
  • Experience with PLC, SCADA and industrial bus systems;
  • Awareness of cybersecurity and digital trends (IoT, AI, data analytics);
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.

This is a challenging international role where your technical input makes a real difference. You will work within a forward-thinking team on meaningful projects that contribute to global sustainability goals.

Your benefits:

  • A gross monthly salary up to €9.600 (based on a maximum annual salary of €125,000);
  • Flexible working hours and the ability to work from home part-time;
  • Annual development budget of €1,500 for training, certifications, or further education;
  • 26 vacation days per year (based on a 40-hour workweek) with the option to purchase additional days;
  • 8% holiday allowance and an attractive pension scheme;
  • Home office allowance and bonus schemes (referral, project and hours bonuses);
  • Discount on supplementary health insurance through our Zilveren Kruis collective plan.
