Introduction

  • Responsible for all aspects of the pre-commissioning and commissioning to support the successful delivery of the Compression Project scope.
  • Responsible as necessary to support the commissioning functions for Compression Project during the execution stage
  • Reviews/approves commissioning deliverables for inclusion for Compression Project packages.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining processes and interfaces related to overall commissioning procedures for Compression Project.
  • Drives ongoing focus on systems completion deliverables for Compression Project.
  • Works closely with operations advisors to align on SIMOPs, Brownfield scope and systems completion strategy for Compression Project.

What are you going to do 

  • Manage timely delivery of all systems completion’s deliverables (pre-commissioning and commissioning) for Compression Project.
  • Ensures overall commissioning compliance with Projects specifications, procedures, and plans.
  • Develop and manage effective commissioning procedures and tools, and commissioning plans for effective and smooth handover to the operating organization.
  • Work in a project environment to create a culture that encourages everyone to contribute to their best ability every day.
  • Coordinates complex internal and external interfaces including the potential for simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
  • Clear and concise communications required with PMT members.
  • Leads by example and demonstrates high integrity in all details while sensitive to multi-cultural differences and effective communications with individuals for whom English is second language.
  • Interacts effectively with Qatargas Project Teams and Departments to resolve issues that require effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and an ability to influence without authority

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelors Degree in Applied Sciences or Engineering
  • 8 years experience with large-project commissioning in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies.
  • Expert in reading P&IDs, Datasheets, General Arrangement drawings and procedures.
  • Knowledge in projects execution, engineering, operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning and systems completion.
  • Knowledge in compliance with contract requirements including codes and standards, and contract technical specification compliance.
  • Experience with vendors operating in the LNG industry, such as compressors, power generation, control systems, topsides, etc.
  • Experience working in large scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
  • Experience in start-up support to Operation.
  • Excellent written and oral English skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills.
  • Effective communication, influencing and interface skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience of system completion management systems
