Introduction
Brunel International is currently seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our client that is based Papua New Guinea. This is a FIFO (fly-in-fly-out) position based on a 22/20 roster. As the Engineering Manager, you will manage and lead a team of geotechnical engineers and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support.

Job Description
As the Engineering Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical leadership and guidance to the engineering team
- Identify and assess geotechnical risks, providing recommendations for risk mitigation strategies
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and codes of practice
- Developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets
- Leading safety initiatives and promoting a culture of safety across all engineering activities
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Essential skills and knowledge
List of requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- 5 to 10 years' experience as a Geotechnical Engineer
- Experience working on large-scale projects in the resources or infrastructure sectors
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Willingness to work on a FIFO basis
- Completion of a Pre-employment Medical and Police Check
- Willingness to acquire IEPNG Registration
