Introduction

We're seeking a FIFO Field Service Technician to support power generation systems on regional project sites across WA. Working a 2:1 roster ex-Perth, this is a great opportunity to apply your mechanical skills in a high demand industry with full OEM training provided.

What are you going to do 

  • Perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs on diesel and gas engines, generators, and power systems on remote project sites.

  • Travel to site on a 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth, supporting both scheduled maintenance and urgent breakdowns.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical faults and implement effective solutions in the field.

  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks to reduce downtime and optimise performance.

  • Maintain accurate service records and communicate clearly with off-site teams.

  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest safety and compliance standards.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Trade qualification as a Diesel Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, or similar.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with engines or rotating equipment.

  • Ability to work independently in remote environments with minimal supervision.

  • Problem-solving mindset and commitment to safety.

  • Willingness to upskill with OEM-endorsed power generation training.

  • Valid driver's licence and the ability to pass pre-employment checks.
