Introduction

What are you going to do 

Brunel is seeking skilled Final Trim Operators and Scraper Operators for an immediate start on a major mining project in Weipa, QLD. FIFO from Brisbane or Cairns on a 2/1 roster (2 weeks on, 1 week off).

  • Final Trim Operators: Precision work with graders/excavators/Dozers to achieve perfect surface tolerances

  • Scraper Operators: Bulk earthmoving with twin, Single and elevator scrapers

  • Day shift only

  • Long-term contract running until December 2025 (likely extensions)

Essential skills and knowledge 

For Final Trim Operators:

  • RII ticket for Grader, Dozer and/or Excavator

  • Proven experience in final trim/finish grading

  • Ability to work to tight tolerances

  • GPS machine control experience

For Scraper Operators:

  • RIIMPO338E - Conduct Scraper Operations

  • Minimum 3+ years scraper experience in mining/civil

  • GPS machine control experience (advantageous)

All Candidates Must Have:

  • Current Drivers license

  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical

  • Willingness to work rotating shifts
