Introduction

On behalf of Chevron, we are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join their Perth team on a short term assignment. Some site travel may be required. The position is responsible for coordination of Mechanical / Piping minor works projects, working across design teams, construction, operation advisors and asset front line for scope definition, design and execution.

What are you going to do 

  • Responsible for progressing and owning whole lifecycle of associated Mechanical and Piping MOCs (Management of Change).
  • Coordinate engineering deliverables and work packages
  • Collaborate with cross function teams to integrate engineering elements
  • Development of detailed project plan, timeline, scope, budget and resource requirements
  • Monitor and oversee project progress, identify and address technical challenges by taking internal SMEs or engineering panel supports to implement solutions

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Demonstrated experience working in Management of Change process and framework
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with extensive experience in Oil & Gas Operation/ Projects
  • Project Engineering/ Mech / Piping Engineering knowledge and experience in Oil and Gas sector
  • Excellent communications and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven experience in Mechanical Design with solid understanding of engineering principles in pressure vessel, piping, valves. Exposure to piping and mechanical engineering documents and specifications are preferred.
  • Demonstrate experience working with multiple discipline engineers, procurement, quality and construction management personnel.
