Introduction

  • Responsible for coordinating, performing and facilitating activities associated with the close out of Offshore Projects under Major Projects Group and Venture, to expedite early alignment on staggered start up, preparation and review of project close out activities.
  • Major challenge for this role is maintaining effective working relationships with Major Projects base teams and stakeholders (e.g. Operations and SHES) to ensure alignment on overall requirements in accordance with philosophies and procedures.
  • Risk based evaluation of complex technical issues that may have significant commercial impacts to the ongoing projects execution/delivery.
  • Transitional elements and Gate Deliverables for Gate 2 IPR / Decision Gate.
  • Technical definition and Gate deliverables for Gate 3 IPR / Decision Gate.
  • Readiness for Start-Up and Gate Deliverables for Gate 5 IPR / Decision Gate, which includes critical interrelationships, requirements, and handover between PMT & OES/OESS.
  • Major Project Waivers / Decision Records associated with MPRs.

What are you going to do 

  • Facilitate project close out duties including review and reconciliation of contract along with change orders if any, reconcile approved budget with actual expenditure, ensure asset registers are prepared as per equirements for all Offshore Projects in Major Projects Group and Venture.
  • Verify the Project scope of Work is completed as per agreement and drive punch list and exceptions closure post RFSU.
  • Review PMT/Contractor resources for punch list and exceptions closure and highlight critical needs early to enable additional support when required,
  • Support PMT in obtaining approval from necessary stakeholders on completion certificates and own the Project close out process after PMT is demobilized.
  • Support OES/OESS and handover and PMS teams as and when needed.
  • Facilitate completion of ORR deliverables and vendor deliverables required for start-up are available in time.
  • Facilitate preparation of asset register and handover to Operations, Stewardship Transfer process adherence by various PMT’s in order to ensure timely completion of the project and demobilization of PMT.
  • Facilitate Post completion reviews are completed and Project Lesson Learned is handed over to corporate LL register.
  • Supports preparation of Project Close Out report and approval for all Offshore Major Project Group and Venture Projects.
  • Ensure flawless transition across the project process map and coordinate with handover and OES/S for delivering comprehensive transition.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelors Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
  • 8 years experience in multiple project functions and assignments, e.g., project management, engineering, construction, procurement, etc. in the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • 1 year experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of contractor/sub-contractors/service/vendor personnel.
  • Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, coordination, planning and interface skills.
  • Good proactivity, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications
