Introduction

Join a high-performing Upstream S&E team supporting operations. This role integrates safety and environmental leadership across operations, projects, and contractor interfaces, driving HSSE performance and compliance.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide S&E leadership to strengthen safety culture and operational discipline.
  • Partner with internal departments and contractors to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
  • Deliver technical advice and implement S&E management systems aligned with regulatory standards.
  • Support risk management, contractor assurance, and incident investigation processes.
  • Drive engagement on safety culture, continuous improvement, and Goal Zero initiatives.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Degree in Safety or Environmental Science (or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in safety and environment roles (O&G preferred; mining/heavy industry considered).
  • Proven operational experience at the frontline with construction or operations teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Queensland safety and environmental legislation.
  • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, risk assessments, and contractor management.
