Introduction

Brunel is seeking a qualified and experienced Assistant Administrator to support our client's Manufacturing West team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will apply their administrative expertise and organizational skills to support the E3 site. This is a 9-month contract opportunity, located 20 minutes from Red Deer in Central Alberta.

What are you going to do 

  • Exhibit a strong personal commitment to health, safety, security, and the environment (HSSE).
  • Oversee and maintain the E3 team's SharePoint site, ensuring efficient organization and accessibility.
  • Utilize a strong knowledge of SharePoint to manage and update the team's documentation library and records.
  • Prepare reports and presentations using Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Coordinate calendars, arrange meetings, and manage travel bookings.
  • Enter and maintain data across various systems, including limited use of SAP.
  • Organize and manage both electronic and physical file systems to ensure all documentation is current and properly filed.
  • Update documents and reports for joint ventures (JV), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues on effectively using existing systems, processes, and programs.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Uphold a strong dedication to safety and Responsible Care® principles.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Completion of a Grade 12 education along with a minimum of 5+ years of combined relevant post-secondary education and work experience.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint is essential; candidates must demonstrate a strong working knowledge and ability to utilize SharePoint effectively.
  • Experience working within various industries, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams.
  • Familiarity with SAP is considered an advantage.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on minimizing errors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team setting.
  • A high level of professionalism in managing stakeholder requests and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Experience in organizing and maintaining both electronic and hard-copy files.
