Introduction

We are currently hiring a Financial Accountant for our mining client who will play a pivotal role within the Corporate Accounting team, providing financial accounting support across various functions to facilitate the implementation of the SAP ERP system. This role requires flexibility, as the Financial Accountant will transition between responsibilities to support team members during the SAP implementation process. This is a 6 - month contract opportunity.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • University degree or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • 2-5 years' experience
  • Working towards Chartered Professional Accountant Certification
  • Fluency in French preferred
  • Fluent in English
  • Experience in mining, oil & gas or manufacturing considered an asset
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Proficient in ERP Systems (SAGE and SAP)
