Introduction

Independently define concepts, critical deliverables, and lead, plan, manage, and control engineering tasks for small to mid-scale projects. Efficiently determine requisitions for mechanical components/equipment packages and ensure on-time delivery in compliance with company specifications and procedures. Manage stakeholder interactions, resolve issues related to assigned packages, and provide guidance to the team, ensuring smooth project execution and delivery.

What are you going to do 

Responsibilities:

  • Expertise in mechanical rotating equipment (e.g., compressors, gas turbines, seawater injection pumps) and industry standards, classification rules, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead design and selection of rotating equipment for EPC projects, including feasibility, FEED, and detailed engineering phases for Offshore/FPSO projects.
  • Create and oversee technical specifications and requisitions, ensuring alignment with project teams and client requirements.
  • Evaluate technical bids, typically handling complex or high-risk equipment.
  • Assist in order execution, review supplier documents for accuracy, and act as the key point of contact for all stakeholders.
  • Manage the mechanical project team, ensuring quality and timely deliverables.
  • Provide technical support during supplier inspections and site construction/commissioning phases.
  • Resolve technical issues and ensure compliance with legal standards and ethical practices.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 15 years of mechanical engineering experience in oil and gas, preferably in FPSO and offshore applications.
  • Experience in EPC projects.
  • Familiarity with design standards and industry codes such as ASME, API.

The candidate is highly knowledgeable in industry standards (ASME, API), classification rules, and regulatory requirements, with proven expertise in designing and selecting rotating equipment for EPC projects, particularly in offshore and FPSO projects.

Key areas of expertise include managing all phases of engineering work, from feasibility and FEED to detailed engineering, ensuring technical specifications and requisitions meet project, client, and industry standards. The candidate is adept at handling complex or high-risk equipment bids, conducting thorough technical evaluations, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely execution of orders.

The candidate independently reviews supplier documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and serves as the main point of contact for various stakeholders. With a strong ability to lead and manage a mechanical project team, they ensure the delivery of high-quality results within schedule. The individual is also proficient in providing technical support during inspections, construction, and commissioning phases, as well as resolving technical issues during package engineering, fabrication, and post-delivery.
