Introduction

Brunel is seeking a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join our client in their Vancouver or Calgary office. As a senior member of the mechanical team, you will supervise and coordinate the delivery of multidiscipline engineering design.

Essential skills and knowledge

Undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of mechanical design engineering experience in a relevant industry, such as mining, mineral processing, or materials handling, with a focus on gold and copper.
Ability to resolve technical issues efficiently using personal knowledge, external consultants, and in-house experience.
Proficient in CAD and 3-D software, along with Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of multi-discipline engineering principles.
Strong commitment to mentoring and coaching personnel.
Proven ability to manage, motivate, and influence employees at all levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively for the design team and manage time efficiently.
