Piping Supervisor

The Piping Supervisor will play a critical role in overseeing the construction and installation of piping systems at the PT Freeport LNG Power Plant project site. This position is responsible for ensuring that all piping works are carried out efficiently, safely, and in accordance with project specifications and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in supervising piping activities within large-scale industrial or energy infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on quality assurance, schedule adherence, and workforce coordination.
Supervise and coordinate daily piping activities, including fabrication, installation, testing, and commissioning, in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Monitor construction progress to ensure work is completed on schedule and within allocated resources.
Ensure all piping systems are installed following the approved drawings, isometric diagrams, and P&ID.
Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations and site-specific HSE procedures throughout all work phases.
Liaise with subcontractors, engineers, and QA/QC teams to resolve technical issues and ensure work quality.
Conduct inspections and ensure proper documentation of all piping works, including pressure testing and welding records.
Oversee material receiving, handling, and verification to ensure alignment with bill of materials and project requirements.
Provide daily progress updates and reports to the Construction Manager and Project Management Team.
Train and guide junior supervisors and foremen to maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) to ensure seamless execution across project interfaces.
Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in piping supervision, preferably within oil & gas, petrochemical, or power plant construction projects.
Strong knowledge of piping systems, isometric drawings, P&ID, and welding procedures.
Proven experience in supervising fabrication, installation, and hydrostatic testing of piping works.
Familiarity with international codes and standards such as ASME, API, and ANSI.
Solid understanding of HSE practices and commitment to enforcing safety on-site.
Ability to lead and coordinate subcontractors, foremen, and field workers effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills in high-pressure environments.
Proficient in using MS Office and project documentation systems; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar software is a plus.
Good communication skills in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
Willing to be assigned on-site in Papua on a roster-based schedule.
