Introduction

Brunel, in partnership with Woodside, is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Onshore Projects team. This dynamic team delivers capital-efficient projects across Woodside's onshore operating assets, including the Karratha Gas Plant (KGP), Pluto LNG Park (Pluto), and King Bay Supply Base (KBSB).

What are you going to do 

  • Ensure technical integrity by applying company and regulatory standards, codes, and good engineering practices.
  • Develop, review, and update Basis of Design (BoDs).
  • Identify design requirements and case maps for projects, providing input to scopes of work.
  • Guide and collaborate with engineering contractors to deliver agreed scopes of services.
  • Develop fit-for-purpose solutions to engineering challenges in partnership with contractors.
  • Review process engineering deliverables and provide detailed technical feedback.
  • Participate in risk reviews, such as HAZID, HAZOP, and LOPA assessments.
  • Provide expertise on technical integrity, including reviewing standards and resolving Technical Deviation Requests (TDRQs).
  • Review and accept safety-critical As-Built deliverables.
  • Support Project Engineers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Assist the Operations Readiness team by providing technical support during construction, inspection, commissioning, and handover phases.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical/Process Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of Process Safety principles.
  • Familiarity with systems such as MOC, JIRA, and ALIS.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Prior knowledge or experience with onshore gas plants (KGP and/or Pluto) is highly desirable.
