Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join the team responsible for maintaining and servicing refrigeration systems at an Ore Processing Facility (OPF). This role involves conducting day-to-day preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on commercial and domestic refrigeration systems, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and reliability within the OPF environment. The position operates on a 2/2 roster, providing a balanced work-life schedule.

What are you going to do 

You will report to the Electrical Supervisor of Ore Processing Facility and work closely with other teams to maintain the highest operational standards in the facility. You will be in charge of:

  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility, and sustainable development at all times
  • Undertake preventative maintenance inspections of plant and equipment in the Ore Processing Facility
  • Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process
  • Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation with the team
  • Take a proactive role in maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour
  • Participate within the Ore Processing Facility Maintenance team to implement business plans consistent with site strategies/plans
  • Monitor the maintenance work plan and escalate unplanned or non-routine activity to the Supervisor
  • Perform all aspects of planned, breakdown, and shutdown activities in regard to Ore Processing Facility maintenance

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • WA A Grade Electricial Licence
  • Full Refrigerant Handling Licence registered with the Australian Refrigeration Council(ARC)
  • Current CPR/LVR and First Aid
  • WA Valid Australian driver's license
  • EWP, Forklift, Working at Heights Certificates (desirable)
  • Experience in a maitenance of a processing enviroment
  • Computer Literacy to use the following systems - 1SAP, Fiori, MS Excel and Word
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and report on maintenance activities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and zero harm
