Introduction

  • Identify, coordinate and manage Safety, Health, Environment and Security (SHES) synergies between Major Projects and packages, such as, SHES deliverables, tools, systems, programs, initiatives and campaigns, to minimize efforts and optimize efficiency and efficacy of projects and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction packages.
  • Support the North Field Expansion Projects Onshore (including other Major Projects) and their respective Packages in the implementation of synergized SHES program, tools and initiatives through information sharing and coordination.
  • Act as the key focal point for all matters related to SHES synergies to maximize the benefits of shared programs, tools and initiatives, and minimize the efforts to achieve common goals.
  • Supports the SHES and Project Management in terms of project SHES system requirements for a large, “one of a kind” LNG Plant, including associated facilities and infrastructures comprising of four 7.8 MTPA process trains, large and complex utilities, and off-sites.
  • Coordinates across multiple, large Contracts, in particular with the “pool” SHES Team, to ensure alignment and proper reporting to the organization, including Major Projects Group and Stakeholders (e.g. LNG HSE&Q and RLIC).
  • This position is involved in the planning and execution of the project SHES management system, programs and initiatives, including the evaluation of its effectiveness, and the continual improvement of it to ensure SHES performance excellence throughout the project duration.
  • Job holder implements approved SHES objectives, develops solutions to SHES related issues using initiative, project procedures, best practices and personal knowledge and experience.
  • Ability to work in a multi-faced/ multi-national organizational matrix with a variety of working relationships and interfaces.
  • Senior level position with broad technical and managerial skills with working knowledge of project management.

What are you going to do 

  • Monitors the various project activities and provide guidance and advice to Project Management Team (PMT) SHES Managers on the potential SHES Synergy opportunities.
  • Supports Major Projects and Contractors in all SHES related disciplines and scope of work (SOW).
  • Manage the SHES exchange program to provide opportunities for the different project team’s PMT SHES personnel to have short term exposure on different projects.
  • Facilitates regular SHES Synergy meetings with SHES representatives from Major Projects and packages to discuss common SHES related topics.
  • Inputs into all aspects of the Onshore SHES management activities across all packages and SOW and supports the Onshore SHES Excellence Division Manager (Shared Resources) in all his/her responsibilities.
  • Provides support to the PMT SHES personnel to identify solutions for SHES issues in support of line management who have overall SHES responsibility for achieving SHES objectives.
  • Demonstrates positive leadership through attendance at key Project activities as needed, such as management walk-throughs, award programs, welfare events, Incident and Injury Free (IIF) activities, tool-box meetings, steering committee meetings and incident review meetings.
  • Supports the coordination of SHES activities across packages to ensure consistent SHES performance excellence in all Onshore Project locations.
  • Attend key activities in Onshore, and if required on other Major Projects, such as meetings, walk-throughs, campaigns and celebrations.
  • Coordinates the sharing and implementation of synergized programs, initiatives and systems, and supports the preparation of change-orders, to enable seamless integration across packages and Major Projects.
  • Acts as a Subject Matter Expert for other SHES Disciplines and supports SHES related activities and tasks in coordination with the SHES Excellence Division Manager.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Minimum 10 years relevant industry HSE experience, with strong focus on the management and administration of health and safety.
  • Extensive experience in communicating and liaising with management at senior level.
  • International project experience with Tier-1 Contractors or Client, involved in the construction of onshore production facilities (i.e. greenfield and brownfield work).
  • Sound knowledge of the project execution process in large-scale project environments (expenditure >US$ 1 Bn).
  • Occupational Health & Safety Diploma at NVQ Level 6, NEBOSH National/International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or higher (BSc, PgCert, PgDip, MSc).
  • ISO45001 OHSMS or IMS Internal Auditor Qualification.
  • Strong leadership skills.

  • Able to cope with excessive workload, highly organized and systematic.
