Electrical Design Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Principal Electrical Design Engineer to join a dynamic and collaborative Engineering team. Based in their Leederville office, you will play a key role in delivering complex engineering solutions within the water sector, providing expert advice and technical support across planning, design, and commissioning phases. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to essential water infrastructure projects.
What the Role Will Involve:
Project Leadership: Lead the development and delivery of comprehensive electrical designs and reports, addressing complex engineering challenges.
Tender Review & Recommendations: Assess tenders, make recommendations, and ensure successful project execution in line with scope and objectives.
Consultant Management: Prepare briefs for consultant engagements, evaluate proposals, and manage performance to meet requirements, deadlines, and budget.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external suppliers, service agencies, consultants, and industry regulators to ensure project success.
Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the client in consultations and negotiations with government agencies, local authorities, developers, and community groups.
Engineering Qualification: A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Professional Experience: Significant experience in engineering design and construction, with a deep understanding of electrical systems in water-related infrastructure.
Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of engineering principles, national standards, and statutory requirements governing electrical systems.
Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze and evaluate infrastructure assets, providing sound engineering and economic recommendations.
Industry Knowledge: A sound understanding of water infrastructure assets and systems, and the ability to apply this expertise in a practical setting.
