Introduction : Brunel has multiple direct hire opportunities for Heavy Equipment Mechanics with our mining client located an hour North of Santa Clarita, California. As an experienced Mechanic, you would service and repair large mining equipment on site and perform lead duties. You would report to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor. This is a safety sensitive position. These positions will be on a rotating schedule - similar to a Dupont schedule. Description : Mechanics Level 4 - 6 will be responsible for performing scheduled maintenance on all applicable equipment. Perform minor and major maintenance repairs to equipment as needed. Perform major component change outs and rebuilds. Welding and fabrication as needed. Perform preventative maintenance on heavy equipment. Diagnosis heavy equipment failures and issues. Perform lead duties - mentor and other maintenance technicians. Assist Mobile Maintenance Supervisor and crew members in coordinating work and providing updates on work progress. Maintain records of repairs and preventative maintenance. Work with expeditors to ensure parts ordered accurately and timely.
