About this role

You will report directly to the General Manager and play a key role in shaping asset management strategies.

We need someone who can:

  • Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities where AI, automation, and new technologies can add value.
  • Research and explore emerging tech, keeping the business at the forefront of innovation.
  • Lead change while working collaboratively across the business to drive continuous improvement.
  • Bridge traditional asset management principles with modern, technology-driven approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and evaluate new technologies, including AI, automation, and predictive maintenance tools.
  • Challenge conventional thinking to find innovative solutions that improve asset reliability.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and senior leadership to shape the future of asset management.
  • Implement data-driven decision-making processes to enhance efficiency and cost savings.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement, reducing downtime and operational risks.
  • Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost-effective asset management.
  • Ad-hoc site visits as required to support operational needs and ensure asset integrity.

Is this you?

  • Considerable engineering experience in asset management, maintenance, or reliability.
  • Experience in energy, mining, or chemical industries preferred.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience driving innovation and operational improvements.
  • A strong interest in AI, automation, and emerging technology, with a willingness to research and implement new solutions.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with a passion for challenging traditional ways of working.
  • Financial and commercial acumen, ensuring cost-effective asset lifecycle management.
  • RPEQ registration (or ability to obtain within six months).
  • Chartered membership of a relevant engineering professional organization (desirable).
