Introduction

On behalf of our client, a leading energy provider, we are seeking for Project Procurement Manager. The Procurement Manager play a key role in driving procurement strategies for major energy projects. Manage contracts, suppliers, and budgets while ensuring seamless project execution.

This 12-month contract offers a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to work with a global leader in energy solutions.

About this role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the subcontract and procurement strategy.
  • Oversee package enquiries, evaluation, award, administration, and closeout.
  • Monitor project developments and intervene as needed.

Project Procurement & Subcontracting:

  • Align procurement activities with project policies, procedures, and schedules.
  • Supervise buyers and subcontract specialists.
  • Ensure supplier pre-qualification and client notification.
  • Develop subcontract and procurement plans, allocate budgets, and ensure alignment.
  • Manage local content requirements and contribute to project reporting.

Package Award & Administration:

  • Prepare ITT packages with QHSE documentation.
  • Negotiate terms, select bidders, and conduct commercial evaluations.
  • Manage RFQs, instructions, variations, and delivery timelines.
  • Oversee subcontractor claims, variations, and final closeout.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Ensure on-time, within-budget project delivery.
  • Lead supplier negotiations independently.

Is this you?

Requirements:

  • Australian full working rights.
  • Bachelor's Degree or other relevant education: Engineering, Commerce, or Business such as Construction Management, Quantity Surveyor, or Supply Chain.
  • Previous experience Leading a Team
  • A sound understanding of the principles of contract law, business ethics, and the contractual/commercial principles adopted within the industry.
  • A sound understanding of Project Management principles, including scope, schedule, and cost management.
  • Good negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
  • Relevant experience as a Subcontracts/Contracts Engineer within an EPC.
  • Experience in procurement of oil and gas products.
  • nderstanding of SAP or Oracle.
  • Understanding of schedules, including baselines, milestone dates, and float
  • Understanding of budgets.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Leadership experience.
