What are you going to do 

  • Take full ownership of complex subsystems across their entire design life cycle - from concept development to certification.

  • Design and further develop vehicle systems, such as power plants, structural components, or electronics, depending on your area of expertise.

  • Lead impact assessments involving multiple systems and support change management.

  • Identify technical and project risks early in the development phase and define effective mitigation strategies.

  • Propose validation and verification strategies, and support them with detailed design substantiation, analyses, or test setups.

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of both the product and engineering processes.

  • Communicate with suppliers and external partners when needed to ensure technical alignment.

Essential skills and knowledge 

You are an experienced engineer who enjoys taking ownership, working independently, and driving results. You bring a proactive, hands-on approach to engineering and support your team through technical expertise and leadership.

In addition, you have:

  • A completed HBO or WO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar design engineering role.

  • Experience with CAD, FMEA, and FEM tools (depending on your specialty).

  • Preferably experience with compliance demonstration and/or certification.

  • A valid driver's license.

  • Excellent command of the Dutch language, spoken and written.

First Contact

Scheduling an Interview

After being shortlisted, you will be contacted via email or telephone to arrange for a date on your availability for the qualification interview. 

Phone/ Qualification Interview

During the interview, you will be assessed on your level of experience and skills, work history, availability, and the qualifications the company is seeking for the position.

Meeting in Real Life

After successfully making through the phone interview, a face to face interview will be scheduled between the candidate and recruiter. This session can be a more in-depth  interview to review your communication and interpersonal skills.
