Introduction

We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Electricians to join our ore processing facility team in the Pilbara. This role involves maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting high voltage (HV) systems to ensure efficient, safe operations in a fast-paced environment, working on a 2:2 FIFO roster.

What are you going to do 

We are currently looking for experienced and qualified High Voltage Electricians to join our team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on HV equipment, including backup power stations and diesel generators.
  • Operate, inspect, and maintain high voltage transmission and distribution systems to ensure optimum performance
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults in HV systems, collaborating with other team members to resolve issues effectively
  • Perform HV switching operations in compliance with site policies and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of all HV activities and maintenance tasks
  • Ensure all work is performed in line with relevant electrical and safety standards

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification
  • Current Western Australia Electrical Licence (Unrestricted)
  • Current High Voltage Switching Ticket (within 2 years or happy to renew)
  • Current First Aid certificate
  • Current CPR/ LVR certificate
  • Working at Heights (preferred)
  • Valid Drivers Licence (C class)
  • Demonstrated electrical experience working with HV motors, Drivers, VFDs, Control Panels etc.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and zero harm
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
