Brunel has an exciting job opportunity for a Lead Planner supporting our client who are a large global mining company, this contractor position will be in Papua, Indonesia on a rotational basis.

What are you going to do

Manages and oversees scheduling function within project controls functional area for moderate to high-risk capital engineering and construction projects.
Responsible for project planning and scheduling, monitoring, progress measurement, risk management and reporting.
Manages planning team members reporting to the Project Controls Manager.
Participates in establishing operating policies to mitigate risk.
Provides guidance and consultation for project team members.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Leading personnel and/or projects

Essential skills and knowledge

- Fluency in English
- Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of heavy industrial construction
- Ability to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
- Skill in effective communication, both verbal and written, including the ability to actively listen and to adapt behavior and communication style based upon the audience
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Skill in following safety practices, and recognizing, controlling and/or eliminating hazards
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience with construction of metal mining operations, especially with regards to all disciplines of construction.
- Experience with construction mega projects.
- Experience with cost estimating, project scheduling and project controls
- Skilled in related scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, etc.)
