About this role

The successful Senior Surface Facilities Engineer will work with multi-disciplinary teams, including geologists, reservoir engineers, production engineers, and field operators, to ensure the seamless integration of surface facilities into overall development strategies.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing surface facilities for wellhead, gathering systems, compression, power, pipelines, and water/brine infrastructure.
  • Leading the proposal and assessment of development projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables aligned with operational timelines.
  • Identifying and trialing innovative, cost-effective solutions to optimize production and reduce costs.
  • Managing the selection and optimization of surface facilities designs, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborating closely with subsurface teams to evaluate optimization opportunities and alternative development plans.
  • Driving the adoption of production-enhancing initiatives and ensuring their implementation through close engagement with execution teams.
  • Preparing cost and schedule estimates for infrastructure projects during the annual UDP process.

Is this you?

  • A degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • RPEQ accreditation (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in oil and gas surface engineering projects, including gas compression, water treatment, and gathering networks.
  • Experience in both operations and project delivery, with a focus on infrastructure development and optimization.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement, ensuring optimal outcomes for complex development projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects using a gated approval process, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to safety and process excellence, ensuring projects align with HSE standards.
