What are you going to do 

What you'll do:

  • Design and manage complex industrial network configurations from concept to execution
  • Ensure reliable and secure communications across control systems
  • Act as the technical lead for troubleshooting and performance improvement across geographically dispersed assets
  • Collaborate with contractors to support the design, review, and delivery of fit-for-purpose communication systems
  • Contribute to the architecture, monitoring, and systems integration of control networks
  • Provide on-call support and assist field telecom technicians as needed

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Degree in Information Technology or network certification from an accredited body
  • 5+ years' experience in industrial control network environments
  • Deep understanding of switches, firewalls, routers, PCN/VPN networks, and network protocols
  • Proficient in LAN/WAN, VMware/ESXi, and network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or GE Pulsenet
  • Strong background in Oil & Gas operations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
