Introduction

The Case Manager - Injury Management supports employee rehab and return to work, overseeing early intervention, workers comp, and medical restrictions. The role ensures procedures are current in the BMS, tracks performance, and liaises with insurers and brokers to meet compliance deadlines.

About this role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Injury Management Case Manager to join a high-performing internal health, safety, and wellbeing team within a prominent industrial and manufacturing organisation based in WA.

Working closely with an experienced Rehabilitation Specialist and an Injury Management Administrator, you'll play a vital part in delivering early intervention initiatives and administering workers compensation and medical restriction programs. This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who enjoys case work, collaboration, and influencing positive outcomes across diverse operational teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage workplace and non-workplace injury cases from notification through to closure, including return-to-work planning and coordination.
  • Deliver Early Intervention Program activities and liaise with employees, supervisors, and medical professionals to support recovery pathways.
  • Oversee low-risk workers compensation claims and ensure accurate, timely reporting to internal stakeholders and external insurers.
  • Administer and review Non-Work-Related Medical Restrictions cases in alignment with business requirements.
  • Monitor and report on injury management KPIs and organisational performance indicators.
  • Maintain documentation and case notes in the Business Management System (BMS), ensuring compliance with applicable procedures and legislative frameworks.
  • Liaise with workers compensation insurers, brokers, medical providers, and internal teams to ensure obligations are met and timelines adhered to.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the health and wellbeing space, particularly in early intervention and case triaging.

Is this you?

You'll bring proven experience in injury management, rehabilitation coordination, workers compensation, or occupational health, ideally within a complex or safety-focused environment. You understand WA workers compensation legislation and injury management practices, and you're confident managing cases from end to end.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of an organisation. You're highly organised, detail-focused, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively. You also bring a proactive, solutions-driven mindset and can document and report case activity clearly and accurately.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in Health Science, Rehabilitation, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or similar.
  • Experience working in industrial, maritime, or manufacturing environments.
  • NV1 clearance or eligibility to obtain (not essential but advantageous).

What we offer

  • Flexible working options available - potential to work from home 1 day per week after probation.
  • Dynamic and inclusive workplace culture that prioritises safety and employee wellbeing.
  • Opportunity to make meaningful impact in a highly respected organisation within a vital industry sector.
