We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Fixed Plant Maintenance Planner to join a major mining operation in Western Australia. This is a long-term FIFO opportunity on a family-friendly 4:3 roster, with the potential for extension

About this role

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating preventative and corrective electrical maintenance activities to improve plant reliability and reduce downtime. While you will not be required to build schedules, you will conduct forward-looking finite scheduling and ensure a balanced backlog is maintained for smooth handover to the weekly scheduler.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate planned maintenance activities with supervisors, engineers, and execution teams.
  • Utilise CMMS (e.g., SAP) to raise work orders, manage backlog, and assist with shutdown planning.
  • Prioritise work based on safety, production requirements, and asset condition.
  • Ensure compliance with safety systems, standards, and statutory obligations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning, scheduling, and reliability.
  • Maintain clear communication with operations and maintenance stakeholders.

Is this you?

  • Trade or engineering qualification (Electrical discipline preferred).
  • Strong planning experience in mining or heavy industry (fixed plant highly regarded).
  • Proficiency with SAP or similar CMMS.
  • Knowledge of Master Data management (plans, BOMs, cataloguing materials).
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems and maintenance processes.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Current Australian manual C Class driver's licence.
  • Ability to meet all site medical and induction requirements.

Highly Desirable

  • WA A-Grade Electrical Licence.
  • Previous experience in iron ore operations.
  • Familiarity with processes used by major iron ore producers.
