Brunel are partnered with a mining organisation to deliver the best work opportunities for IT & Technical professionals within Australia. We are currently seeking a highly skilled Network Design Engineer to work on a contract basis during the detialed design phase of a new mine project.

About this role

As the Senior ICT Network Engineer for this project, you'll design and deliver cutting-edge IT/OT network infrastructure, shaping the backbone of a world-class mining operation. You'll lead the design, tendering, and deployment of critical IT and OT network infrastructure.

Your expertise will ensure compliance with Australian standards, drive stakeholder collaboration, and deliver a secure, high-performance network for construction and long-term operations. From detailed design workshops to vendor oversight, testing, and commissioning, you'll guarantee seamless integration and reliability. Is this you?

To be successful in this team, it is beneficial to have the following experience:

Extensive experience in the mining industry, both construction and operations.
Proficient in detailed network design, specifically; Server and storage, core network, operational technology, process control, firewalls, end point security and disaster recovery.
Proficient in network / system configuration, integration and management.
ITIL and CCNA / CCNP certifications.
Apply Cybersecurity standards and policies.
A bachelor's degree in computer and information technology, engineering, or a related field.
All round project management skills including design management, tender preparation, assessment, and coordination through to handover.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
