Introduction

Brunel is partnering with a leading energy technology innovator to source a Senior Electrical Test Engineer based in Perth CBD. You will lead the planning and execution of structured test programs for high-performance electrical systems, including EV charging technology.

This role is open to candidates based in Perth with full Australian working rights

About this role

Develop and implement test plans, test cases, and automated scripts based on system requirements
Lead and coordinate physical testing on rigs, HiL setups, and active mine sites
Identify and manage specialist vendors for advanced electrical testing
Support FAT/SAT activities and the safe integration of systems into operational environments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate performance, troubleshoot faults, and ensure product compliance
Collect, analyse, and interpret data from instrumentation and sensors
Maintain detailed documentation and test reports in line with QA and regulatory requirements
Drive continuous improvement in testing methodology, tools, and safety

Is this you?

Substantial experience in electrical product/ High Voltage Electrical system testing
Strong background in structured test design and execution
Experienced with data acquisition systems, instrumentation, and automation
Knowledge of EV charging systems, HIL/SIL testing (highly desirable)
Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
High attention to detail, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
