Introduction

  • Responsible for overseeing Mechanical Completion activities, ensuring that the Contractor and Subcontractors deliver systems and subsystems in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Coordinate Mechanical Completion processes such as systemization, Mechanical Completion planning, database setup in collaboration with other disciplines and relevant contractor / subcontractor departments.
  • Provide clear guidance to the contractor and facilitate the resolution of Mechanical Completion issues to ensure project objectives and milestones are met.
  • Responsible to ensure all planning and execution of activities associated with the Mechanical Completion are achieved by the contractor, subcontractor and vendors, etc., as per project specifications and LNG Requirements.
  • Major challenges for this role include (1) effectively guide contractor, vendors, subcontractors and Mechanical Completion team to produce timely deliverables up to system hand-over. (2) maintaining constructive working relationship with the contractor, vendors and subcontractors to ensure delivery and execution of Mechanical Completion work scope in accordance with project requirements and (3) maintaining relationships with stakeholders (e.g., Operations, quality, engineering, construction) to ensure alignment of systems completions execution.
  • Provide expert knowledge and advice to the PMT on safety, technical, integrity and operability aspects of Mechanical Completion & Pre-commissioning for the Offshore Topside facilities.
  • Supervise the contractor to ensure that processes and design are delivered in accordance with company requirements, specifications and standards.
  • Works in a highly dynamic team environment with tight-deadlines, high pressure and strong visibility, requiring accuracy, initiative and effective multitasking skills.

What are you going to do 

  • Provides multi-disc. Mechanical Completion expertise, to lead safe execution of Mechanical completion activities in accordance with project deliverables and execution schedule.
  • Demonstrate leadership in planning and execution driving contractor to deliver as per project milestones.
  • Maintains close liaison with members of Engineering, quality, construction, commissioning Teams and accountable for ensuring execution of work is technically aligned in compliance with project objectives, specification and industry best practices.
  • Guides Contractor's Mechanical Completion activities and validating contractors, including vendors, subcontractor resources, personnel qualifications, usage of appropriate tools; adherence to project objectives, requirements, specifications, and verification processes.
  • Ensure CTR/SCTR adhere to Project SHES procedures.
  • Reviews and monitors project Design, including Engineering / Site Queries, Field Design Changes, Deviation Requests, Non-Conformance Reports and Contractor design change or deviations from company directives ensuring compliance with management of change procedures.
  • Assesses and validates Contractor’s procedures for SIMOPS, Work under Permit, Partial Handover requirements and performs progress measurement / reporting to drive assigned Mechanical Completion activities. Leads punch close out activities and handovers.
  • Manages the Mechanical Completion/ Pre-commissioning deliverables updates/redlines and support field engineering where needed in support of MC & pre-comm activities.
  • Responsible for following up and assuring schedule and related milestones are achieved, provides data (rundown curves, charts, graphs), identifies material & skills gaps, develops recovery plans to address any schedule delays if any.
  • Accountable for knowledge of and sharing previous lessons learned, capturing, and communicating current lessons learned to support review teams and future projects.
  • Develops and issues daily and weekly reports on progress, performance, initiatives, issues, and challenges to the Yard Manager.
  • Reviews the Skyline & System hand over priority, sequence and schedule. Provides input to and reviews the development of contractor’s detailed plans to complete the work.
  • Reviewing the scope of construction and identifying any possible anomalies during construction.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Diploma in Sciences or Engineering.
  • 8 years relevant experience as a Mechanical supervisor or Mechanical completion/ Pre-commissioning specialist / senior Pre-commissioning Inspector for O&G offshore facilities, especially wellhead Topside platforms.
  • Good understanding in completions database (ICAPS), pre-comm.
  • Procedures and Hand-over deliverables.
  • Experience with ICAPS database use and ITR/Punch management.
  • Demonstrated ability and sensitivity to work with people from a variety of cultural backgrounds.
  • Full knowledge of pre-commissioning and commissioning completion database, ICAPS.
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Strong organizational, planning and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and other relevant applications.
  • Excellent communication / written skills and ability to work with different disciplines.
  • Undertakes complex tasks and acts as a source of guidance for staff and internal customers. Is expected to handle all but the most complex problems and difficulties that might arise.
  • Takes initiatives, based on experienced gained, to deliver timely and cost-effective service.
  • Sets situations/issues in the context of the entire team and has an appreciation of the wider relationships with other people and organizations.
  • Works independently within established procedures, plans and budgets and contributes to the development of these.
  • Has autonomy over scheduling and planning of own work; organizes efforts of work group to achieve overall efficiency.
  • High awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, MC, pre-commissioning of offshore topside facilities.
