Introduction

We are looking for a Contracts Advisor to work with one of our major clients on a contract located in Houston, TX.

What are you going to do

Provide specialist contracting advice and execute procurement activities to maximize value and mitigate risk.
Manage contracts for drilling-related goods and services, including OCTG and ROV.
Develop and execute sourcing plans and category strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with corporate procurement policies and local regulations.
Build strong relationships with business leaders to forecast demand and assess contract effectiveness.
Drive cost reductions and efficiency through strategic sourcing, category management, and contract negotiations.
Analyze market data to optimize category strategies and mitigate supply risks.
Execute tenders, lead negotiations, and manage contracts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Support national content commitments and integrate category strategies across the supply chain.

Essential skills and knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or Chemistry; MBA preferred.
Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, logical formulas, data analysis).
Experience in supply chain management or drilling/completions services (OCTG, ROV).
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and strategic sourcing skills.
Financial analysis and risk management expertise.
ERP system experience (SAP preferred).
Oil & gas industry knowledge is a plus.
Bilingual (English-Spanish) preferred.
