Introduction

  • An Engineer (Maintenance) is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of technical systems and equipment across industrial environments.
  • This role is essential in oil and gas, telecom, and infrastructure sectors, where timely maintenance and system integrity are critical to operations.
  • The engineer leads troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance efforts, often coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to uphold performance standards.

What are you going to do 

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on PAGA (Public Address and General Alarm) systems and related field hardware.
  • Troubleshoot and repair faults in electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Lead field maintenance activities, including system upgrades and modifications.
  • Coordinate with project and operations teams to ensure maintenance schedules align with operational needs.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, service reports, and equipment logs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental standards, and technical specifications

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunications, or Computer Engineering).
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in maintaining and supporting complex PAGA systems.
  • Prior experience executing QatarEnergy contracts or equivalent oil and gas projects (onshore and offshore platforms) is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures, permit systems, and maintenance documentation.
  • Hands-on experience with PAGA systems such as:
    • Federal Signal
    • VODEC
    • Spectar Lumenex
    • GAI-Tronics-Elemec
    • Nuemann
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic faults.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools and maintenance software.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics.
  • Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and maintenance reporting tools
