Brunel are partnered with a leading Energy and Resource company to deliver the best work opportunities for IT & Technical professionals within Australia. We are currently seeking an Integration Engineer - to work on a contract basis on an exciting new Data, Integration & Analytics platform project.
The Integration Engineer will contribute significantly to the technical development and operational support of our integration ecosystem. This role will enable seamless data and application connectivity between internal systems, cloud platforms, and third-party SaaS applications. The Integration Engineer will be the key resource for integration initiatives to deliver robust and scalable integration solutions. The role is essential to supporting modern integration patterns (API-driven, event-driven) connectivity, and enabling the unified data and application ecosystems across the organisation.
Deliverables - Technical & Operational
Platform Development & Optimisation: Demonstrated experience contributing to the development and optimisation of integration platforms and implementing automation for data and application integration workflows. Familiarity with Fivetran is essential, along with experience in iPaaS platforms like Boomi, Workato, Snaplogic, or similar technologies.
Cloud Platforms & Tools: Solid foundation in cloud technologies, with working proficiency in AWS and/or Azure (including API Gateway, Logic Apps, Event Hub) and familiarity with integration tools like REST APIs, webhooks, and messaging systems.
Integration Pipelines: Design, implement, and maintain scalable and resilient integration pipelines connecting diverse systems and data sources. Leverage integration platforms like Fivetran, Azure Integration Services and other iPaaS to establish robust automated workflows, ensuring proper error handling, monitoring, and data validation. Focus on building reliable connections between ERP systems, SaaS applications and cloud services. Implement best practices for API management, data integration, and integration monitoring. Apply Infrastructure as Code principles for integration deployments, ensuring solutions are modular, reusable, and consistently deployable across environments.
Data and Application Integration: Develop comprehensive integration solutions using modern techniques for API-based connectivity, event-driven architecture, and automated ETL/ELT processes. Connect diverse systems including ERP, IoT platforms, and SaaS applications whilst ensuring high data integrity and seamless application interoperability. Design integrations that are secure, performant, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards. Collaborate closely with infrastructure teams to optimise integration performance and maintain robust cybersecurity standards. Partner with data architects and system owners to ensure integration solutions support business processes and deliver timely, accurate data across operational and analytical systems.
AI/ML Pipeline Development: Contribute to building and maintaining integration pipelines that support AI/ML workflows, including real-time data feeds and model deployment connectivity. Show enthusiasm for enabling data-driven decision-making through robust integration architectures that support predictive analytics and automated decision systems. Focus on creating reliable data flows that meet the performance and consistency requirements of AI/ML applications.
