Introduction

We are currently hiring a principal electrical maintenance strategy and master data for our mining client. The Principal Electrical Maintenance Strategy and Master Data will provide technical expertise in developing electrical equipment hierarchy and strategies in alignment with our clients' standards and procedures. This is a four-month contract opportunity.

What are you going to do

  • Execute the migration of GRL Potash electrical equipment FMECA library template into the Jansen Asset Performance Management (APM) template.
  • Convert APM FMECA data into 1SAP task list data collection sheets (DCTs) for work management and task execution.
  • Support peers in delivering high-quality 1SAP/APM master data templates (TOS, ASM/RCM, Task List) for electrical asset classes, including Underground Mine, Hoists, Mill, and NPI facilities.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Readiness and Maintenance Execution teams to develop and deliver robust Electrical Equipment Maintenance Master Data.
  • Work with 1SAP and APM governance teams to establish pipelines for master data upload aligned with project schedules.
  • Lead Electrical Strategy scope activities such as planned task confirmation (PTC) and layered audits to ensure quality control and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure electrical equipment strategies meet industry standards, are fit-for-purpose, and aligned with operational goals.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Direct experience executing RCM and FMECA activities for electrical assets.
  • Relevant degree or certification in Electrical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • Self-starter with the ability to deliver independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage multi-disciplinary teams and build trust.
  • Proven experience developing electrical equipment strategies aligned with industry best practices.
  • Strong adaptability to shifting priorities and emerging challenges in an electrical maintenance environment.
  • Project management and facilitation experience with a track record of delivering on time and within budget.
  • Skilled in managing change across multiple data sources and systems.
  • Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and processes effectively.
  • SAP Plant Maintenance Master Data super-user, with a strong focus on electrical equipment.
  • In-depth knowledge of 1SAP and APM Master Data design and governance.
  • Experience with reliability engineering applications (e.g., GEM APM, Bentley, Ivara AWB, Isograph).
  • Solid technical knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical systems and equipment in mining and processing operations.
  • Extensive maintenance work management experience, particularly with electrical systems.
