Introduction

  • Provide technical expertise in onshore/offshore structures and infrastructure aligned with department objectives in meeting Company strategy.
  • Operates in technical environment with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Required to contribute to other multi-disciplinary tasks whilst providing expertise in specialized area.

What are you going to do 

  • Prepare Conceptual Study, Design Basis, and civil/structural/marine/infrastructure design as per Specifications and International Codes such as BS, OCIMF, PIANC, ISGOTT, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AASHTO, USACE, UBC, API RP and Qatar National Construction Standards.
  • Provide technical expertise support to Project Team on FEED to detail design, construction and installation.
  • Coordinate all aspects of civil/structural/marine engineering and provide technical support to operation and maintenance for across offshore/onshore facilities in addition to supporting Major Projects.
  • Develop civil/structural detailed drawings for the department.
  • Perform all the necessary complex/high level analysis as per the applicable specification or codes along with computer analysis software like STAAD.
  • Provide technical support in all sessions of Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), RHAZOP, Risk Assessment, Lifting, Excavation Certificate, Inspection Program, etc.
  • Liaise with consultants or shareholders, represent to outside agencies, conduct technical presentations and support Junior/IDP engineers to develop their capabilities.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • BSc. Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • 8 years’ experience in an oil and gas environment.
  • Experience in greenfield and brownfield Civil/Structural/Marine for both onshore and offshore facilities
  • Hands on experience is required
  • Knowledgeable of relevant International Codes & Standards such as BS, ASCE, ACI, AISC, UBC, API RP, etc.
  • Experience in operating companies is preferable
  • Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
  • Computer literate, and competent with a variety of engineering software tools.
