Conducting System Safety Assessment activities for aircraft systems, providing support during and after the certification phases
Generating and updating assessments (Functional Hazard Assessment/System Safety Assessment) for intended design modifications to influence the system architecture according to the required System Safety/System Integrity
Performing Risk Analyses in accordance with applicable guidance and standards, which are necessary to support the continuous development of the aircraft (including Permit to Fly/Type Certificate)
Conducting analyses of Common-Cause (including Particular Risk Analysis, Zonal Safety Analysis, and Common Mode Analysis)
Determining the specific Safety requirements for system developments or modifications concerning hardware and software
Establishing requests for evidence (tests, simulations, analyses), along with Procedures and Limitations for ground and aircrew
Managing and establishing integrity requirements at the interface with interacting systems
Coordinating input from and output to interfacing technical domains and technologies (processes, maintenance, human error, aircraft performance and quality, etc.)
Reviewing, approving, and applying supplier data regarding Safety and Reliability
Generating the System Safety Assessment documentation based on traceable results and evidence, serving as mandatory proof for acquiring the Type Certificate
Conducting Safety Analysis of the Software and continuously improving the analysis tool environment and processes
Detail-oriented and safety-focused approach to work
Language proficiency: Business fluent in English; knowledge of German is an advantage
IT skills are important, including experience with safety tools, such as Isograph FaultTree+, which is a plus, as well as a minimum of specialized knowledge in MS Office
An educational background is required, with a Master's degree or diploma in Physics or a Master's degree or diploma in Aerospace
Professional experience is expected to include at least 2 years in engineering and 2 years in aerospace, specifically with a focus on System Safety Assessment; alternatively, candidates should have a minimum of 2 years in System Engineering with interfaces related to Safety Assessment, Airworthiness, or Certification
