Introduction

What are you going to do 

  • CIPS & DCVG Surveys on pipelines in the Gas Operations network (RLIC, All Eastern Half of Qatar, and MIC).
  • Conventional cathodic protection works such as potential, voltage and current measurements at test points, current drainage sources, continuity bonds, cross bonds, insulating joints and other cathodic protection hardware either as part of routine surveys or troubleshooting.
  • Cathodic Protection Technician shall be capable of creating reports for the surveys including an interpretation of the results and comments and recommendations for remedial action, where appropriate.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • The candidate shall have not less than 10 (years) for Diploma holders/ five (5) years for Graduate relevant experience and be fully skilled in carrying out CIPS & DCVG surveys.
  • He shall have the ability to pass Permit to Work system and Consolidated Permit to Work system.
  • Shall pass PTW or ePTW as specified by Mesaieed Operations company HSE as required
  • Diploma in Mechanical / chemical / Electrical Engineering with 10 years’ experience or Graduate in chemical / Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering with 5 years’ Experience from Reputed institute.
  • Cathodic Protection Technicians Shall be qualified to NACE CP Technician (CP2) level (or equivalent).
