Introduction

On behalf of our client, Woodside Energy - a Global Energy Company, Brunel is presently recruiting a Contracts Adviser - Corporate Services for a 24 month contract located at their 'state of the art' Perth CBD premises.

What are you going to do 

As the Contracts Adviser you will join the Corporate Services Team responsible for procuring the goods and services across the Corporate Services portfolio that includes HR, Finance, Tax, Insurance, Corporate Affairs and Legal. Acting as an interface with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to develop and execute sourcing plans and category strategies.

Contracting & Procurement

  • Applies Procurement processes in alignment with corporate guidelines to design intent, local operating procedures, and audits
  • Develops effective relationships with internal business leaders to understand business requirements to forecast demand, and to verify established contracts are effective
  • Drive collaboration across the region to identify and execute opportunities to reduce external spend through demand, price and productivity (technology) levers

Sourcing Strategy and Planning

  • Develop and validate category strategies that minimise supply risk to the business, optimise cost and contribute to process automation
  • Develops sourcing and negotiation strategies using market intelligence and best practice tools, such as should cost modelling, eAuctions, TCO analysis
  • Negotiate with suppliers & executing tenders of strategic sub categories to reduce total cost to the business
  • Ensures integration of the category strategy across Supply (Purchasing, inventory and warehousing) to ensure lowest inbound supply chain cost

Tender and Contract Management

  • Develop, publish and manage tender (ITT/RFQ) and their commercial evaluation in line with sourcing projects
  • Conducts and leads negotiations with suppliers post tender evaluation
  • Create, manage and monitor contracts

Essential skills and knowledge 

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive relevant industry experience with a focus in Contracting & Procurement
  • Proven ability to influence across functions
  • Competency (commercial, technical) in specified category
  • Sound understanding of the Oil & Gas industry preferred
  • Contract negotiation experience
  • Ability to analyse complex business processes, risk factors and control systems
  • Risk management skills
  • Experience with ERP systems
