Introduction

Brunel is a leading international service provider of high-quality drilling, mining and construction personnel to the global resources industry. We are currently seeking an experienced Drill Fitter for a FIFO opportunity in Papua New Guinea.

What are you going to do 

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing drilling equipment on a mine site in Papua New Guinea. You will be working in a FIFO capacity, with a roster of 22 days on and 20 days off. 6-12-month contract with high possibility of extending. You will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and work alongside a team of experienced technicians.

Essential skills and knowledge 

List of requirementsTo be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Trade qualified Fitter/Mechanic
  • Experience working on drilling equipment, specifically Sandvik and Atlas Copco drills
  • Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
  • Ability to work in a remote location and in a FIFO capacity
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
