Introduction

Brunel is looking to hire an SCM Training Specialist to work with a major oil and gas client in Houston, TX on long term contract!

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, implement, and evaluate SCM learning strategies aligned with organizational goals and functional core competencies.
  • Collaborate with SCM leadership, SMEs, and key stakeholders to define learning objectives and conduct detailed needs analysis.
  • Interpret SME-provided content and consolidate requirements to support the development of learning materials.
  • Assist in developing instructional strategies to achieve designated learning objectives and optimize learner engagement.
  • Co-develop instructional materials with instructors, including facilitator and participant guides and supporting media, overseeing the publishing process for finalized curricula.
  • Present recommendations on curricula, instructional methods, and materials for training classes.
  • Ensure training content reflects changes in regulations, internal PPSGs, and reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and submit timely and accurate reports to management.
  • Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote continuous improvement.
  • Address training-related inquiries, ensuring open communication and effective conflict resolution.

Essential skills and knowledge 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supply chain-related field or instructional design/learning project management in the oil & gas industry.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in data analytics and dashboarding tools, including Spotfire and PowerBI.
  • Experience in internal consulting and coaching.
  • Knowledge of instructional design strategies and techniques, including the ADDIE model.
  • Understanding of adult learning theory and experience conducting front-end analysis for course design.
  • Experience developing storyboards for eLearning and designing training materials for instructor-led courses.
  • Proficiency with authoring tools, particularly Articulate Storyline.
