Introduction

  • Be autonomous in management of the assigned studies and/project and report any particulars highlight to Engineering Project Lead. Anticipate matters and proposed constructive mitigations measures.
  • Ensure that engineering deliverables meet overall Pre-study, Statement of Requirements and COMPANY Technical Standards and rules.
  • Support Technical Reference Persons’ (TRP) / Discipline Engineers for various technical disciplines within the engineering team of assigned project.
  • Ensure that the assigned project(s) is diligently managed as per Statement of Requirement (SOR), COMPANY Standards and Contractual requirements.
  • Ensure that all the interfaces with the relevant parties including with the partners / regulator / 3rd parties are correctly managed.
  • Ensure that the projects are executed in the highly safety manner, quality conformance and within schedule and budget.
  • Responsible to manage assigned detailed engineering scopes of Wells, Workovers and Brownfield Projects, and could include specific Corporate Planning & Development (CPD) studies.
  • Carry out studies from pre-project technical assistance to detailed & construction engineering by supervising Engineering Services Frame Contractors’ teams.
  • Support Engineering Project Lead in daily activities, reporting tasks and interfaces management.

What are you going to do 

  • Ensure the application of COMPANY HSE and Safety Engineering rules and specifications, and promote safety culture within Engineering department and Engineering Contractors
  • Organize and check regularly the quality of the technical deliverables produced.
  • Support Construction and Brownfield Projects departments whenever required during procurement, fabrication and site work phases.
  • Review & comment on Vendors deliverables and Technical Dossiers prepared by Contractors for RFM and Projects.
  • Participate to develop, release and maintain engineering processes and procedures, work instructions and check lists.
  • Ensure engineering contractors submit all deliverables on time and check them regularly to achieve COMPANY quality expectations.
  • Participate to coordinate the various specialists involved in engineering: HSEQ, Construction, Field Operations to ensure the facilities are safe, easy to operate, maintainable and inspectable.
  • Manage interface activities with Major Project and CPD.
  • Review deliverables and technical dossiers prepared by engineering contractors for RFM and Projects.
  • Carry out any other duties/projects may be assigned by Engineering Project Lead.

Essential skills and knowledge 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.
  • Multi discipline engineering background with a minimum of 12 plus years of experience in the Upstream Oil &Gas industry and project management.
  • Excellent knowledge and proven experience in brownfield projects related to oil and gas industry. Experience working on offshore facilities is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in Middle East with similar projects and prior experience within the State of Qatar is beneficial.
  • Good knowledge of the industrial context, contract practice and Oil & Gas operations in general.
  • Good sense of team spirit leadership, strong interpersonal and soft communication skills in multi-cultural environment.
  • Fluent in English – Both verbal and written
